National Poetry Month Poetry Reading

To celebrate National Poetry Month, Honolulu Community College instructor, Eric Paul Shaffer will read poems classic and contemporary. Come and hear old and new favorite poems, guest readers, and poems from the author.

Join us at the Hawai‘i State Public Library, 478 S. King Street, Honolulu at 2 PM for poems of power, light, and humor.

Eric Paul Shaffer at the 13th Annual Ko‘olau Writing Workshop

Eric Paul Shaffer invites everyone on O‘ahu to join him at the 13th Annual Ko‘olau Writing Workshop, where he will be receiving the 10th Annual James M. Vaughan Award for Poetry and reading the winning poem “The Whistle.”

The workshop will take place on Saturday, March 6, and the ceremony will begin around 9:00 AM at the Cooke Academic Center on the Hawai‘i Loa Campus of Hawai‘i Pacific University.  Come for the fun; stay for the workshop.
